Blake Baker receives a call from a past lover asking him to help find her missing brother. Once he arrives in La Honda, he learns the task is much more treacherous than it first appeared, and he’s forced to decide how much he’s willing to risk for the love of his life.
After years of frustration with the traditional way that Hollywood makes movies, I decided to stop waiting. With present technology it is possible for a small and talented cast and crew to make a great movie for really cheap (by Hollywood standards). So I threw myself into the challenge of writing a low-budget action drama that was character-driven, edgy, and ends with a bang!
Instead of looking at my lack of budget as a negative, I viewed it as a positive. I don’t have studio money to throw at problems, so it forced me to think of creative and economical solutions as the screenplay developed. Meaning, I only wrote what I knew I could shoot in order to keep the actual production as efficient as possible. Despite financial limitations, the movie was shot 5K widescreen on a RED Epic. For those who don’t know, the RED is a high-end digital camera that is used on major Hollywood blockbusters.
